Entering 2017 on a High Note of Victory

2017 promises to be a really great year with many opportunities for us to overcome challenges and to conquer situations that seemed so impossible. These scriptures are a great way to start the year, and set yourself up for a journey where your inner man is strengthened so much that it radiates onto others to help them overcome their challenges. Let’s be bold in confessing these scriptures; meditate and chew over them until they become part and parcel of your very own being. Let’s begin:

1. ““For the mountains may be removed and the hills may shake, But My lovingkindness will not be removed from you, Nor will My covenant of peace be shaken,” Says the LORD who has compassion on you.” ISAIAH 54:10 AMP

2. “But now, this is what the LORD, your Creator says, O Jacob, And He who formed you, O Israel, “Do not fear, for I have redeemed you [from captivity]; I have called you by name; you are Mine! “When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they will not overwhelm you. When you walk through fire, you will not be scorched, Nor will the flame burn you. ISAIAH 43:1-2 AMP

3. “Let us not grow weary or become discouraged in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap, if we do not give in.” GALATIANS 6:9 AMP

4“Only be strong and very courageous; be careful to do [everything] in accordance with the entire law which Moses My servant commanded you; do not turn from it to the right or to the left, so that you may prosper and be successful wherever you go.” JOSHUA 1:7 AMP

5. “This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall read [and meditate on] it day and night, so that you may be careful to do [everything] in accordance with all that is written in it; for then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will be successful. Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous! Do not be terrified or dismayed (intimidated), for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.” JOSHUA 1:8-9 AMP

6. “After you have suffered for a little while, the God of all grace [who imparts His blessing and favor], who called you to His own eternal glory in Christ, will Himself complete, confirm, strengthen, and establish you [making you what you ought to be].” 1 PETER 5:10 AMP

7. “Why are you in despair, O my soul? And why have you become restless and disturbed within me? Hope in God and wait expectantly for Him, for I shall again praise Him For the help of His presence.” PSALM 42:5 AMP

8. “And we know [with great confidence] that God [who is deeply concerned about us] causes all things to work together [as a plan] for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to His plan and purpose.” ROMANS 8:28 AMP

9. “In hope against hope Abraham believed that he would become a father of many nations, as he had been promised [by God]: “S O [numberless] SHALL YOUR DESCENDANTS BE.” Without becoming weak in faith he considered his own body, now as good as dead [for producing children] since he was about a hundred years old, and [he considered] the deadness of Sarah’s womb. But he did not doubt or waver in unbelief concerning the promise of God, but he grew strong and empowered by faith, giving glory to God, being fully convinced that God had the power to do what He had promised.” ROMANS 4:18-21 AMP

10. “Therefore the LORD waits [expectantly] and longs to be gracious to you, And therefore He waits on high to have compassion on you. For the LORD is a God of justice; Blessed (happy, fortunate) are all those who long for Him [since He will never fail them].” ISAIAH 30:18 AMP

So shall it be for you and I in 2017!

  • Thankyou, Tsitsi , for the encouraging scriptures ! Your vision for Africa and these scriptures simply take my breath away … God has given you and Strive a tremendous vision and heart for Africa and the world.

I would like to add Jer29 to your list … God is dealing with his people Israel who have been taken captive into a heathen nation and is enduring great difficulties as a result. We might see a parallel to this situation in some of the nations many in Africa face. Yet God says they were to carry on with their lives… build houses , have families and also to “… seek the peace of the city which I have caused you to be carried away captives, and pray unto the LORD for it : for in the peace thereof shall ye have peace.” Then the beautiful thoughts of vs. 11 for us all… “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.”

I pray that for Africa and your work, Tsitsi … may God bless and keep you and your team…
